Fittipaldi's fightback earns HWA RACELAB its first points of the Formula 3 season

HWA RACELAB experienced a weekend of highs and lows at the opening round of the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship in Spielberg, Austria. Newcomer Enzo Fittipaldi (Brazil) finished ninth in race two on Sunday, ensuring he at least picked up a few points after suffering technical issues at the season-opener.

The pre-season Formula 2 and Formula 3 tests in Sakhir/Bahrain (1st to 3rd March) herald a historic motorsport season for HWA AG. For the first time, the Affalterbach-based company will be represented by two private teams in the top two junior series in Formula racing. BWT HWA RACELAB makes its debut at the Formula 2 tests in Abu Dhabi

The three-day post-season tests in the FIA Formula 2 Championship at the Yas Marina Circuit marked another milestone for HWA AG: BWT HWA RACELAB completed its first official tests as an independent team in Formula 2 in Abu Dhabi. Together with the involvement in Formula 3, HWA AG is now represented with its own team in both of the top junior series in motorsport. Seven top-ten times for drivers Giuliano Alesi (France) and Artem Markelov (Russia) in the individual sessions made it a promising start for the team.
