After qualification race, HWA RACELAB aiming for top 10 finish at the Macau Grand Prix

HWA RACELAB is making a debut appearance at the legendary Macau Grand Prix and is approaching the FIA Formula 3 World Cup main race on Sunday with aspirations of securing a place in the top ten. In the qualification race, Keyvan Andres (Iran) claimed 11th place after ten laps. One year on from her accident, Sophia Flörsch (Deutschland) will start the race on Sunday (08:30 CET/15:30 local time) from 21st place. After a not-at-fault collision on the first lap, Jake Hughes (Great Britain) was unable to reach the finish and will have to start from the back of the grid.

HWA RACELAB makes debut at legendary Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix with Sophia Flörsch, Keyvan Andres and Jake Hughes

After a successful maiden season in the FIA Formula 3 championship, HWA RACELAB is on the brink of another highlight. The team from Affalterbach will contest the Suncity Group Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix (14 to 17 November) for the first time. Jake Hughes (Great Britain), Keyvan Andres (Iran) and Sophia Flörsch (Germany) will be on the starting grid of the FIA F3 World Cup, which will be held as part of the 66th edition of the Macau Grand Prix. The race is particularly special for Sophia Flörsch, just one year after her accident.

HWA AG to compete in FIA Formula 2 with the HWA RACELAB team from 2020

HWA AG will add another string to its motorsport bow from next year: As of the 2020 season, HWA will line up in the international FIA Formula 2 Championship with its own team - HWA RACELAB. In doing so, the company expands its commitment to actively promoting talented young drivers and also demonstrates its expertise in the field of motorsport.

HWA RACELAB brings curtain down on Formula 3 season with more top results

Jake Hughes (Great Britain) twice finished in the points at the final round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship in Sochi. In doing so, he brought the season to a positive end for HWA RACELAB. Keyvan Andres (Iran) and Bent Viscaal (Netherlands) both produced impressive fightbacks. The team from Affalterbach ended its first season in Formula 3 in fifth place in the Team standings.

  • 7th and 4th place for Jake Hughes, DNF and 17th for Bent Viscaal, 19th and 23rd for Keyvan Andres
