HWA RACELAB is all set for the highlight of its first season in Formula E: The team's home E-Prix in Berlin on Friday and Saturday (24.05 and 25.05). There is great anticipation among the Affalterbach-based outfit ahead of the German round of this season's championship: The run of points finishes in the past three races has given the whole team a big boost. However, different conditions will make for new challenges in Berlin.

In the FIA Formula 3 Championship season-opener at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain HWA RACELAB completes the first pair of Formula 3 races. Driver Bent Viscaal makes a good start in the new race series with two 13th-place finishes. His team-mate Jake Hughes has bad luck after a promising practice session. Keyvan Andres shows an improved performance in the second race and inspires hope for the future.

Both HWA RACELAB cars finish a tough race in Monaco, with plenty of attacks and on-track contacts. Stoffel Vandoorne is involved in the battle for points throughout the race, just missing out as he finishes in eleventh place. However, two drivers who finish ahead of him are penalised after the race, moving Vandoorne up to ninth. Gary Paffett places twelfth at the ninth race of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

The opening round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship at Circuit de Catalunya in Spain heralds a new era for HWA AG. The company from Affalterbach is set to make its first appearance with its own team in a Formula 3 race. HWA RACELAB lines up with three cars in the new junior series, which shares the bill with the Formula 1 World Championship.
